About Empowered Princesses Therapy

Empowered Princesses Therapy is a growing private practice dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and young adults build confidence, overcome anxiety, heal from life’s challenges, and recognize their worth. We are committed to creating a warm, affirming, and culturally responsive environment where every client feels seen, respected, and empowered.

We’re looking for a compassionate therapist who is passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of girls, teens, and young women from diverse backgrounds.

About the Role

This is a part-time independent contractor (1099) position.

Therapists are expected to:

  • Maintain 10–20 hours of weekly availability

  • Offer a combination of daytime and evening appointments

  • Provide both in-person and virtual therapy sessions

  • Attend monthly team meetings held on the first Monday of each month

  • Deliver ethical, compassionate, and culturally responsive care

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults

  • Develop treatment plans and complete clinical documentation in a timely manner

  • Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with South Carolina licensing regulations

  • Collaborate with the practice owner and fellow clinicians when appropriate

  • Participate in peer consultation and team collaboration

  • Foster an inclusive, affirming environment for clients from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, family, gender identity, and lived-experience backgrounds

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • Active LPC or LPCA license in South Carolina

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and/or young adults

  • Demonstrated experience serving clients from diverse backgrounds and identities

  • A genuine passion for empowering girls and supporting their emotional well-being

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative with the team

Compensation: Unpaid Practicum Placement

Compensation

This position offers a 60/40 fee split, with therapists receiving 60% of collected session fees.

Graduate Practicum Student

Empowered Princesses Therapy is excited to welcome graduate-level counseling students who are passionate about serving children, adolescents, and young adults. We strive to create a supportive learning environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their clinical skills, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of girls and young women.

This is an unpaid practicum placement designed for graduate counseling students seeking quality clinical training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling services under supervision.

  • Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.

  • Participate in case consultation and team meetings.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, and cultural humility.

  • Collaborate with the Empowered Princesses Therapy team.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ACA ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited graduate counseling program.

  • Eligible to begin a practicum placement through your university.

  • Passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

  • Commitment to empowering girls and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional, dependable, and eager to learn.

Commitment

  • Minimum of 10 hours per week

  • Minimum 3-month commitment

  • Ability to attend the mandatory team meeting on the first Monday of each month

  • Ability to provide both in-person and virtual services (as appropriate and approved)
